Kingdom Come: Deliverance (the first game) has a PC console. Display and camera commands work normally. Money and item cheats need the -devmode launch option; older guides say they were disabled, and the wiki says they need devmode.
This page separates what works plainly, what needs devmode, and what is unconfirmed (skills). For the sequel see the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 page.
How to open the console in Kingdom Come: Deliverance
- In Steam, right-click the game, open Properties, and add -devmode to Launch Options (needed for cheat commands, not for display commands).
- Start the game and load a save.
- Press the tilde key (~), under Esc, to open the console.
- Type a command and press Enter, then press ~ to close.
Console commands are PC only. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have no console. Settings typed in the console reset on restart unless you save them to a config file.
How Kingdom Come: Deliverance commands work
- Commands are written as command value, for example cl_fov 80. Replace X with a number.
- Most commands show their current value if you type the name alone (not verified in a source, so test it).
- To keep settings between sessions, one forum post says to put them in a file named user.cfg in the game folder and add +exec user.cfg to the Steam launch options.

Kingdom Come Deliverance console commands for skills
None of the sources we read document a working skill or stat command for the first game. The lists contain no skill commands at all.
One forum post mentions a Nexus mod that adds commands for money, buffs, items, perks and skills, but it did not give the syntax, so we do not list any. If you want skill changes, check that mod's own page.
Money and item cheats (wh_cheat_money, wh_cheat_addItem)
The community wiki lists wh_cheat_money and wh_cheat_addItem as commands that need -devmode. Older 2018 guides say they were disabled in the final release, and a user-added note on the wiki says the money command does not work for some players. Results may depend on game version.
Try it on a backup save: add -devmode, restart, then type wh_cheat_money 1000. If nothing changes, the command is likely blocked in your version.
Show a bow crosshair
- Press ~ to open the console.
- Type wh_pl_showfirecursor 1 and press Enter.
- Type wh_pl_showfirecursor 0 to turn it off again.
Why Kingdom Come: Deliverance console commands are not working
- Console does not open: press the key under Esc, or check your keyboard layout. Console is PC only.
- A cheat does nothing: add -devmode and restart; if money still fails, it may be blocked in your version.
- Settings reset after restart: save them in user.cfg and use +exec user.cfg as a launch option (per one forum post).
- Endless loading screen after adding -devmode: one forum user reported it with modified graphics settings; remove the option.
